Forest of Dean     In the Woorgreens/ Crabtree Hill area this morning three Wood Warblers, 4+ Redstarts, two Pied Flycatchers, six Spotted Flycatchers, five Tree Pipits and two Stonechats⁩. Symonds Yat     In the Yat Rock area today the resident Peregrine pair and another confirmed nesting pair nearby, a Hobby, a female Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, Ravens, a female Goosander with seven young, Swallows, House Martins, Swifts, Stock Doves, a Spotted Flycatcher, a male Blackcap, a Grey Heron, a Jay and a Pied Wagtail. Other sightings included five Fallow Deer, a Bank Vole, Rose Chafers, Brimstone and Common Blue butterflies. Frampton pools     A Mediterranean Gull, a Yellow-legged Gull, two Great Black-backed Gulls, six Common Terns, a Great White Egret, a Siskin, two Lesser Whitethroats, six Whitethroats, 43 Blackcaps, 26 Chiffchaffs, two Yellow Wagtails, a Grey Wagtail, 15 Reed Warblers and 14 Swifts today. Berkeley shore    A Red Kite drifted E over the shore early afternoon. (Paul Taylor).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. I have birded all over Europe, in the U.S.A. and Canada, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, Belize, Mexico, Dominican Republic, The Gambia, Cape Verde, South Africa and most recently Zimbabwe and Botswana.
