Leighterton Two QUAIL calling, three Corn Buntings, three Yellowhammers and a Roe Deer along Monarch’s Way from the cemetery this afternoon. (Shane Long). A QUAIL calling and a Corn Bunting singing at 9:22pm at ST82529050 just S of the village along the road going towards Knockdown and another Quail singing at 9:28pm further along that road at ST82609022. Also a Little Owl at Ashtree Farm, ST822906, on a telegraph post just S of the village on another road going S towards Didmarton. (Vic Polley).

Coombe Hill Meadows Ten Mute Swans, a pair of Canada Geese with five goslings, a pair of Wigeon, at least 15 Gadwalls plus a female with nine ducklings (2nd site record), a male Shoveler, three Little Grebes, three Grey Herons, a pair of Coots with five chicks and another pair nesting, eight Lapwings, two Oystercatchers with at least one chick, Redshanks heard, a Cuckoo, several Reed Warblers and the odd Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff and Reed Bunting. Bisley This evening 500+ Jackdaws, 100+ Carrion Crows, five Swifts, four Swallows, three House Martins, two Pied Wagtails and a Skylark. (John Fletcher).
Forest of Dean At Cinderford Linear Park a male Blackcap, a Green Woodpecker, a Jay, a Chiffchaff and a Willow Warbler. Other sightings included Wood White, Peacock, Small Heath, Meadow Brown, Red Admiral, Small Skipper, Large Skipper, Small White, Common Blue and Grizzled Skipper butterflies, a male Broad-Bodied Dragonfly, Emperor Dragonflies mating, Large Red, Azure and Blue-tailed Damselflies and a Common Lizard. Symonds Yat At Yat Rock viewpoint the resident Peregrine pair plus another Peregrine on Great Doward Hill, a Hobby, Buzzards, Ravens, Stock Doves, a Chiffchaff, a female Mandarin, a Spotted Flycatcher, House Martins, Sand Martins, Swifts and Swallows. Other sightings included a Rose Chafer, Hummingbird Hawkmoths, two Fallow Deer, Painted Lady and Speckled Wood butterflies. (Chris & Phil Andrews).
