Clapton-on-the Hill     A QUAIL calling in a barley field near The Fork, near Clapton-on-the Hill, by the track that runs down past Haycroft Bottom, cSP158164. (John & Viv Phillips).

Whitminster     A QUAIL flew over calling at 10:55pm. (Richard Baatsen).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Six Green Sandpipers and 25 Black-tailed Godwits roosting on the island this evening. (Ian Hull).

WWT Slimbridge    Two adult Little Ringed Plovers with two fledged youngsters at 11am on South Lake. (Dot Jones).

Symonds Yat     In the Yat Rock area today the resident Peregrine pair and a juvenile Peregrine on Great Doward Hill nearby, Buzzards, Ravens, a Red Kite, a Little Egret, a Treecreeper, five Mandarins, a Stock Dove, Swifts, Swallows, House Martins and Sand Martins. Other sightings included a male White-legged Damselfly, Hummingbird Hawkmoths, a Bank Vole, a Hornet, Ringlet, Meadow Brown and Red Admiral butterflies. Berkeley shore     Six Common Sandpipers, two Redshanks and three Curlews today. (Paul Taylor).

Brimscombe Hill     At 11am a Red Kite circling over London Road, Stroud and then drifted quite low directly above the garden on Brimscombe Hill. (Nikki Smith).

Cherington     Around Cherington Lake mid afternoon ST 899985 male and female Bullfinch, two Jays, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Green Woodpecker, five Song Thrushes, a Treecreeper, a Garden Warbler singing, two Nuthatches heard, nine Long-tailed Tits, five Blackcaps, two Buzzards, four Mallards and seven Wrens.
