Standish     This evening 30 Swifts with c30 House Martins flying in a south westerly direction, feeding as they went. (Juliet Bailey).

Minchinhampton Common     A juvenile Spotted Flycatcher and quite few Chalkhill Blues this morning. (Michelle Davies/Martin Greenish).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Four Green Sandpiper on the Long Pool this morning. (Duncan Dine/Andy Jayne).

Berkeley shore     High tide at Berkeley Pill this morning a Whimbrel, two Dunlins, four Common Sandpipers, two Black-tailed Godwits, four Little Egrets, 39 Mallards, a Kestrel, eight Linnets, 40+ Black-headed Gulls, 10+ Herring Gulls and three Great Black-backed Gulls. (Tom Weston-McClung).

Frampton pools     Two Green Sandpipers, six Swifts, 13 adult Great Crested Grebes and seven juveniles, four Common Terns, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Great White Egret, five Little Egrets and six Grey Herons today. (Nick Goatman).

Nailsworth     At The Poplars a Mediterranean Gull over and ten Pied Wagtails on a neighbouring roof. (Jake King).

Cheltenham     At Pittville Lawn a soaring Buzzard over mobbed by two noisy gulls. (Howard Taylor).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
