Forest of Dean     At Crabtree Hill the GREAT GREY SHRIKE between 1pm and 2pm, at times showing well when perched, although for lengthy periods it would disappear into low vegetation. Please keep to the public footpaths and out of the clearfell. (John & Kevin Widgery/Ian Ralphs). Five Goosanders (2m, 3f) on Lydney boating lake this morning. (Martin Vaisey).

Frampton pools     24 Knot and an Egyptian Goose over, around the pools two Jack Snipes, 42 Snipe, a Merlin, a male Stonechat, 100+ Linnets, two Ravens, a male Pochard, a Grey Wagtail and two Common Cranes. (Nick Goatman).

Brimscombe    In Orchard Lane park and on the neighbouring canal a very vocal male Song Thrush, a male Sparrowhawk, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and several Long-tailed Tits. (Nikki Smith).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
