WWT Slimbridge     Five Whooper Swans arrived on the Rushy this morning then relocated to the Tack Piece for the rest of the day. Eight Pink-footed Geese still on the Dumbles edge. Three Goosanders over the high tide a male and two females flew downriver. The female Goldeneye still on the Rushy. (Martin McGill). Pic by Mike.

Sharpness     The BLACK REDSTART beyond the end of Dock Road in the compound at 11:15am. (Andy Jordan).

Forest of Dean     The GREAT GREY SHRIKE in a small enclosure to the W of Crabtree Hill, best viewed from outside perimeter fence at SO 62899 13486. (Robert Kelsh).

Frampton     A male Merlin along the hedge near Splatt Bridge this afternoon. (Dean Lord).

Woodchester     On the river two Dippers and 19 Long-tailed Tits today. (Keith & Lyn Perkins).

Aylburton Common     A Lesser Redpoll on Niger seed in the garden today. (Martin Vaisey).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
