Cotswold Water Park West     This afternoon in the roost at Pit 16 a first-winter CASPIAN GULL and an adult MEDITERRANEAN GULL. The BLACK-NECKED GREBE still present. (Graham Lawlor/MK/Paul Rich). Two Barn Owls out hunting at Shorncote 20 minutes before sunset. (Jon Mercer).

Ashleworth Ham     At Colways Farm just beyond Ashleworth Ham on Ham Road, the TUNDRA BEAN GOOSE back there today. (Ian Hull).

WWT Slimbridge    30 KITTIWAKES over the river mid-channel at 1:50pm then headed upriver. (Slimbridge Sightings).

Boddington-Ashchurch     At 4:30pm a ringtail HEN HARRIER seen low over M5 verges between J10 and J9. (Chris Berry).

Saul Warth     At high tide this morning 40+ Shelducks, a Grey Heron, 150+ Lapwings, two Buzzards (including the white one), 20 Linnets, eight Skylarks, two Meadow Pipits, two Pied Wagtails and a Grey Wagtail. (MK).

Frampton pools     A male Goosander flew over and a male Goldeneye on Court Lake. (Nick Goatman).

Sharpness     A Rock Pipit, a Stock Dove and a Bullfinch at the Docks today. (Paul Dunham). Pics by Paul.

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
