Fretherne     Late afternoon a first-winter ICELAND GULL seen and then lost over towards the Awre peninsula. Also an adult Mediterranean Gull with 1000s of gulls heading down the Severn to roost. (Martin McGill).

Cotswold Water Park West     A BITTERN at Shorncote Reedbeds at 3:30pm. (Paul Masters).

Forest of Dean     At Parkend a Hawfinch behind Crown Lane today. (Paul Masters/Paul Rich).

WWT Slimbridge     307 Black-tailed Godwits and 35 Avocets on South Lake today. (Dave Paynter).

Forthampton     Seven Egyptian Geese and two Shelducks on a flooded field behind Forthampton Court. (Sarah Loaring).

Coln St Aldwyns     A male Reeves’s Pheasant today near the village. (Darren Compton per Keith Jennings).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
