Frampton pools     A TURTLE DOVE flew over heading towards Severn this evening. (Nick Goatman).

Daneway Banks     A singing male Redstart and 2+ Large Blue butterflies today. (Duncan Dine).

Frampton Cotterell     A Peregrine hunting this evening. Also at least 25 Swifts. (David Hanks).

Minchinhampton     Three Red Kites at 12:30pm, also a Sparrowhawk and three Greenfinches. (Josh Adamms).

Stonehouse     Three Red Kites over at 3pm. (Josh Adamms).

Edge     Around Washpool at SO855093 birds included two Sparrowhawks, a Buzzard, three Coal Tits, two Willow Warblers, three Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Green Woodpecker, a Treecreeper and two Blackcaps. (John Fletcher).

Stroud     At Strawberry Banks a Marsh Fritillary and a Dingy Skipper, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Marsh Tit and a Nuthatch today. At Rough Banks c8 Adonis Blues, two Small Tortoiseshells and two Meadow Browns. (Steve Brown).

About The Gloster Birder

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. I have birded all over Europe, in the U.S.A. and Canada, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Costa Rica, Belize, Mexico, Dominican Republic, The Gambia, Cape Verde, South Africa and most recently Zimbabwe and Botswana.
