WWT Slimbridge     A SPOONBILL circling the Trust viewed from Hock Ditch this evening. (Martin McGill).

Avening     No Quail heard in the Star Farm area this evening but pair of Little Owls nearby. (Peter Chappell).

Arlingham     A Red Kite over the fields at Arlingham Passage at 10:45 this morning. (Giles Diggle).

Frampton     At the Sailing Lake four Common Terns, four Grey Herons, a Yellow Wagtail and seven Pied Wagtails. (Jonathan Bull).

Cassey Compton     A pair of Redstarts this morning. (Duncan Dine).

Baunton Downs     Six singing Corn Buntings this morning. (Duncan Dine).

Ashleworth Ham     This afternoon birds included five Lapwings (2 ad, 3 tiny chicks), a pair of Oystercatchers with a chick, two Curlews, eight Mute Swans, five Mallards, a Grey Heron, a mixed flock of 25 Swallows and House Martins, seven Blackcaps, a Jay, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, two Bullfinches, three Chiffchaffs, two Song Thrushes, a Pied Wagtail and two Stock Doves. Along Stank Lane two Grey Herons, two Buzzards, seven Reed Buntings, five Skylarks, a Whitethroat, six Blackcaps, two Chiffchaffs, five Swifts, a Pied Wagtail and two Song Thrushes. (John Fletcher). Daneway Banks     Six LARGE BLUES this morning including a mating pair. Also good numbers of Marbled Whites, a pair of Mistle Thrushes gathering food and a Green Woodpecker. (MK). Pics by Mike.
