Frampton pools     This morning 100+ Swifts, eight Common Terns, a drake Pochard, a drake Gadwall, 144 Mute Swans and a Yellow-legged Gull. (Nick Goatman). On the canal a pair of Shelducks with a brood of seven ducklings, presumably hatched fairly close by.  The female and chicks are stood on a deer carcass. (Gordon Kirk). Pic by Gordon.
