Forest of Dean     A HONEY BUZZARD flew low over Cannop bottom pond at noon today. (Nicola Jones).

Rodborough Common     A male RING OUZEL at 8:50am but flew off towards Minchinhampton. (Rich Hearn).

Frampton     At Splatt Bridge this morning from the towpath a GREAT WHITE EGRET, a Greenshank, a Green Sandpiper, a Ruff, four Stonechats, a Marsh Harrier and a Siskin and two Lesser Redpolls over. (Gordon Hodgson).

Saul Warth     This morning 24 Avocets, three Bar-tailed Godwits, 35+ Curlews, three Little Egrets, a Pintail, a Stonechat, ten Meadow Pipits, two Chiffchaffs, a Lesser Whitethroat, eight Swallows and a few Migrant Hawkers. (MK).

Alderton     A CLIFDEN NONPAREIL caught overnight in a moth trap. (Graham Tompsett).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
