Calcot Manor & Chavenage Lane     16+ Stonechats again, a Whinchat, and a female MERLIN hunting and at nearby Hazelcote Farm spooking a flock of 220+ Skylarks. (Terry Grant).

Woodford     A Sedge Warbler along the Little Avon this morning. Also a Reed Warbler two days ago. (Paul Taylor).

Frampton     From Splatt Bridge this morning a CATTLE EGRET, a GREAT WHITE EGRET, a Marsh Harrier, 3+ Stonechats and a Cetti’s Warbler. 13 Lapwings, three Lesser Redpoll and five Swallows flew over. Three Peregrines together over the house in the village. (Gordon Hodgson). At Court Lake a female Wigeon, three Teal, three Shovelers, seven Gadwalls, two Kingfishers, a Nuthatch and a Cetti’s Warbler. Around the Gravel Wash 5+ Chiffchaffs together, six Siskins, two Lesser Redpolls and a Bullfinch. Three Swallows over the Sailing Lake. (MK).

Far Westrip     Two Ravens today. (Dot Jones).

Slimbridge     A Peregrine on St John’s Evangelist church in the village this afternoon. (Terry Stevenson).

WWT Slimbridge     Two Spotted Redshanks on South Lake today. (Lisa Presland).

Cleeve Hill    Four Stonechats this afternoon. (Martin Price).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Late afternoon two Cetti’s Warblers, seven Wigeon and 12 Teal. (Terry Fenton). Also the evening five Mute Swans, 33 Greylags, five Mallards, two Grey Herons, a Water Rail calling from Long Pool, two or three Snipe calling at dusk, a Little Owl calling and 40 Meadow Pipits. Down Hatherley     A Barn Owl by the Hatherley brook bridge. (Terry Fenton).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
