Highnam     A Hobby flew over N near the Church this afternoon at 2:22pm. (Clare McLeod).

Norton     Four Red Kites over together late morning. (Martin Price).

WWT Slimbridge     Two Greenshanks from Zeiss hide and the summer-plumaged Spotted Redshank on the Rushy. (Jonathan Bull).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning a Black-tailed Godwit, a Green Sandpiper, a Great White Egret, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Whitethroat, a Sedge Warbler and at least two QUAILS calling still. (Jeremy Holland).

Cotswold Water Park East    At Pit 127 three non-flying young Common Terns visible, two seen being fed, at least 12 adults around some landing out of sight, so probably more young. Also a Great Crested Grebe with a well-grown juvenile and a pair with four small young and still a few young Black-headed Gulls, but the colony mostly deserted now. (John Durell).

Forest of Dean     A male Greenfinch on a feeder in the garden at Clearwell, the first in a long while. (Alan Waterman).
