WWT Slimbridge     A BITTERN showed very well from Zeiss hide also an adult and a juvenile SPOONBILLS today. At least six Little Stints, two Curlew Sandpipers, three Sanderlings, three Ruff, two Greenshanks, two Spotted Redshanks and eight Snipe. (Jeremy Holland/Neil Smart). A Whinchat on the fence N of the Shepherd’s Hut and two Wheatears at Middle Point. (Roberta Goodall). A Greenshank and a Spotted Redshank on the Rushy and a Sparrowhawk near Martin Smith hide. Frampton     At Splatt Bridge this morning 13 Little Egrets and two Greenshanks, two juvenile Cattle Egrets, a Marsh Harrier, a Hobby, ten Mandarins, nine Grey Wagtails, two Yellow Wagtails, a Whinchat, 14 Blackcaps, 11 Chiffchaffs, four Whitethroats, three Reed Warblers, a Sedge Warbler and a Willow Warbler. (Gordon Hodgson). At the Sailing Lake this afternoon a Whinchat, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, 150+ Goldfinches, five Swallows, 14 House Martins and two Muntjacs. (MK).
