Forest of Dean    11+ Hawfinches at Parkend at Crown Lane next to the cricket pitch SO6140007809 at 10am. (John Casswell/Jane Bailey). At Cannop Upper Pond this morning on the bird table ten Chaffinches, two Nuthatches and a Marsh Tit, also eight Wigeon, six Little Grebes, 15 Tufted Ducks, 20 Mandarins, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, two Grey Wagtails, two Siskins, two Treecreepers, a Jay and a Raven. Coombe Hill Meadows     Late afternoon 100 Greylags, 75 Canada Geese, 30 Mallards and a Shelduck, Wigeon on the Short Pool and a Tawny Owl in Broadmere. (Ian Ralphs).

WWT Slimbridge     Two Dark-bellied Brent Geese and the Ross’s Goose from Kingfisher hide, two Water Rails from Willow hide and a female Goldeneye on South Lake. (Dot Jones/Helen Bojaniwska).

Highnam     A juvenile Cormorant, 20+ Redwings, a mixed flock of 30+ Goldfinches and Chaffinches, two Buzzards and a Grey Heron by Highnam Church early this morning. (Clare McLeod).

Ashleworth Ham    Early morning at least 100 Canada Geese had roosted and flew out early on, 60 Wigeon, at least 350 Teal, 150+ Mallards, 23 Pintails, 15 Shovelers, a Peregrine hunting, four Snipe, four Stonechats (two pairs) and c40 Fieldfares. (Mike Smart).

Tuffley     At garden feeders today a male Blackcap, two Greenfinches and two Goldfinches. (Ian Elphick).
