At Cannop Upper Pond this morning 16 Wigeon, eight Mandarins (5m, 3f), five Little Grebes, 12 Long-tailed Tits, two Jays, a Buzzard and two Nuthatches. (Chris Keeling). Also in this area a female Brambling with 25+ Chaffinches from the cycle path this morning. Also a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Marsh Tit, two Coal Tits and six Siskins. (Rob Emery). At Nagshead two Ravens, a mixed flock of c30 Siskins, Greenfinches and Goldfinches on Larch and a Wild Boar blocking the path to Lower hide. (Alan Waterman).

From Splatt Bridge this afternoon birds included a Cormorant, a Shelduck, a female Marsh Harrier, a Stonechat, Fieldfares and Redwings, a Grey Heron, a Curlew, a Song Thrush, 30+ Linnets, a Mute Swan, two Buzzards, a Wren and a Goldfinch.
