Coombe Hill Meadows The Russian White-fronted Goose still this morning, seen distantly from Grundon Hide roosting with 40 Greylags. Also a Lapwing, 1200 Wigeon, c1500 Teal, seven Tufted Ducks, eight Gadwalls, 97 Shovelers, a Mute Swan, 250+ Canada Geese, five Shelducks, 103 Pintails, a Grey Heron, 50 Black-headed Gulls over, a Kingfisher, a female/immature Yellowhammer and six Bullfinches along the very muddy canal path, five Long-tailed Tits and large flocks of Redwings and Fieldfares feeding in the adjacent fields.
