WWT Slimbridge From the Estuary Tower the Dark-bellied Brent Goose with 221 Barnacle Geese on rising tide, also the Ross’s Goose, three Snow Geese and 198 White-fronted Geese, two Greenland White-fronted Geese and two Pink-footed Geese. The adult Mediterranean Gull again on South Lake. (Slimbridge Sightings). From Zeiss hide this morning a distant pair of Peregrines on the Dumbles, a female Sparrowhawk briefly on the fence right of the hide and two Water Rails. (Chris Newton).
Cotswold Water Park West Good numbers of waterfowl, including Tufted Ducks, Wigeon, Mallards, Gadwall and six displaying Goldeneyes on Pit 67. Many Gadwalls, a drake SCAUP, a male Goosander, Canada Geese, Greylags and a pair of Egyptian Geese on Pit 65. A pair of Cetti’s Warblers displaying near the stream.
