Frampton This morning at Court Lake a Hobby flew towards the village. Also two showy Reed Warblers, a pair of Oystercatchers and the Ross’s Goose. (MK). Early morning two Spotted Flycatchers, a Marsh Harrier and a Cuckoo over the sailing lake, two Grey Herons, four Common Terns and a family of Cetti’s Warblers. (Steve Pullen). Around Court Lake late evening four Hobbies, six Cattle Egrets, five Little Egrets at least five active Grey Heron nests with large young being fed. (Nick Goatman).

WWT Slimbridge From Estuary Tower six unringed Common Cranes on the Dumbles, a male Marsh Harrier flew S, a Grey Plover, 38+ Sanderlings, the DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE, a Cuckoo calling and a Whimbrel. From Zeiss hide 24 Avocets and 28 Black-tailed Godwits with two of the race “islandica“. 56 Avocets and three Mediterranean Gulls on the Rushy. (Ian Hull/Dot Jones/Oliver Paisey).
Coombe Hill Meadows This morning two Buzzards, two Curlews, three Lapwings, two Oystercatchers, 6+ Redstarts (4m), three male Reed Buntings, 6+ Sedge Warblers, four Chiffchaffs, three Whitethroats, a male Great Spotted Woodpecker and two Yellow Wagtails. (Paul Clark).
