WWT Slimbridge     A LITTLE TERN on the river briefly from Middle Point at 8:40am then flew N. (Roberta Goodall/David Creber). A BLACK TERN off of Middle Point earlier this morning. (Martin McGill). This afternoon an adult pale morph ARCTIC SKUA flew upstream past Middle Point on the rising tide at 2:40pm harassing gulls near the far bank. Around the reserve ten Spotted Redshanks, seven Redshanks, six Greenshanks, three Green Sandpipers, a Hobby, a Marsh Harrier, 23 Common Cranes, four Yellow Wagtails, a Great White Egret and 50 Golden Plovers. Lydney New Grounds     The GREY PHALAROPE again at 9am mid-river on the sands S of Lydney harbour. (Paul Masters). Also viewed from Berkeley Pill. (Andy Jordan/Oliver Paisey). This bird has remained very elusive and difficult since it was first found by the outflow on Friday. It was absent at high tide this afternoon, viewed from Lydney. Of note 14 Dunlins, six Oystercatchers, a Common Sandpiper, four Little Egrets, 77 Shelducks and a Rock Pipit. (MK/Roberta Goodall).

Saul Warth     This morning 29 Avocets, 129 Curlews, two Greenshanks, two Ringed Plovers, nine Sanderlings, a late Oystercatcher, the first autumn Snipe, a drake Tufted Duck, unusual on the river, a Great White Egret, three Little Egrets, eight Swallows, four Chiffchaffs, two Whitethroats, four Blackcaps, 40 Goldfinches and four Clouded Yellows. Frampton     Two Great White Egrets, three Hobbies and five Buzzards around Court Lake; a Spotted Flycatcher in a garden near the car park on the lane to the sailing lake, and two Hobbies at Splatt Bridge. (Terry Grant).

Haw Bridge     Two Ringed Plovers this morning between the bridge and canal outlet. (Robin Lewis).

Gloucester     This evening a Spotted Flycatcher and a Chiffchaff in St Lawrence churchyard, Barnwood. (Rob Crofton & Andy Langley).

Berkeley Pill     This afternoon two Stonechats, four Meadow Pipits, two Oystercatchers and the escaped Greater Flamingo flew up river, four Common Gulls, two Little Egrets, two Grey Herons, a Raven and a Buzzard. Also several Clouded Yellow and Small Heath butterflies. (Steve Pullen).

Sandhurst/Wainlode Hill     A Red Kite, a Sparrowhawk, six Buzzards, two Kestrels, a Jay, two Ravens, two Green Woodpeckers, two Lesser Whitethroats, eight Spotted Flycatchers, five Meadow Pipits, two Tree Pipits, a Whinchat, a Redstart and four Reed Buntings. (Andy Jayne).
