Saul Warth Early morning at low tide, 250 Avocets, a Greenshank, 121 Curlews, a Bar-tailed Godwit, six Grey Plovers, 200 Dunlins, 17 Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, three Common Cranes, 65 Shelducks, a male Marsh Harrier, a Raven, two Jays, three Stonechats, a Wheatear, three Chiffchaffs and a Swallow. On the ebb tide early afternoon two juvenile Little Stints and and one adult, three Sanderlings, 79 Ringed Plovers, 14 Grey Plovers, a Ruff and unbelievably the GUILLEMOT still, present in the estuary for most of September. WWT Slimbridge The PECTORAL SANDPIPER from Zeiss hide at midday again. (Ian Hull). Five Egyptian Geese on the Tack Piece at 8:20am. From Middle Point 12 ARCTIC TERNS flew downstream at 9:40am. Also eight Grey Plovers, a Bar-tailed Godwit and a Wheatear. (Ian Ralphs).
Westbury-on-Severn Around Westbury Strand this afternoon two adult Mediterranean Gulls, a Red Kite, three Ravens, a Whinchat, three Stonechats and 42 Pied Wagtails. (Andy Jayne).
Frampton Around the pools this evening a Hobby, 48 Cattle Egrets, four Great White Egret, ten Little Egrets, a Green Sandpiper, 54 Teal, 39 Wigeon, two Shovelers, 20 Mallards, 48 Gadwalls, four Little Grebes, a Water Rail, five Chiffchaffs, two Blackcaps and a Tawny Owl. (Nick Goatman).
