Saul Warth     Early afternoon t high tide 216 Avocets, 114 Curlews, 12 Grey Plovers, two Curlew Sandpipers, two Sanderlings, four Little Stints, a Ruff, unusual on the river, 400 Dunlins, 50 Ringed Plovers, six Little Egrets, 20 Cattle Egrets (opposite the parking), two Red Kites, three Peregrines, the escaped Greater Flamingo, 16 Jays flew east, male and female Stonechat, two Chiffchaffs, 36 Meadow Pipits and six Reed Buntings. No sign of the probable Semi-palmated Sandpiper seen by Martin McGill yesterday. Also a Clouded Yellow, two Red Admirals and a mating pair of Common Darters. Walmore Common     This morning a Gadwall, 13 Teal, two Jack Snipe, eight Snipe, a Cattle Egret, a Sparrowhawk, a Kestrel, a Kingfisher, a Whinchat and a pair of Stonechats. (Andy Jayne).

WWT Slimbridge     This morning on the Rushy three Greenshanks and nine Spotted Redshanks. (Paul Clark).

Nailsworth     At Barton End, 150+ Golden Plovers, 80+ Linnets, 47 Corn Buntings, 20 Goldfinches, 40+ Skylarks and four Red Kites. In the Chavenage Lane area two Red Kites, five Buzzards, a Stoat and a Clouded Yellow butterfly. (Terry Grant).
