Saul Warth     This morning at low tide an OSPREY on a dead branch on the mud with a fish, five Whinchats on dock in the Warth, a Wheatear, two Stonechats, 17 Meadow Pipits, two Skylarks, five Swallows, three Chiffchaffs, a male Blackcap, 12 Goldfinches, two Yellow-legged Gulls, 147+ Curlews, two Little Egrets and a Raven. Elmore Court    At the Rewilding Project from the public footpath along Broadmeadow Bank at least four Whinchats with 6+ Stonechats just N of the scrape today. (Steve Pullen).

Frampton     At Court Lake early afternoon, an OSPREY briefly and a Cattle Egret. (Steve Pullen).

Nailsworth     20+ Buzzards and 15+ Red Kites, many of them taking advantage of harvesting operations, near Barton End this afternoon. Also in that area, and at Chavenage Lane, a juvenile Goshawk, three Kestrels, a Peregrine, a Sparrowhawk, a Whinchat, two male Stonechats, a Spotted Flycatcher and a 120+ Linnets. (Terry Grant).

A GANNET flew over fields on the SE side of Court Lake, towards the Severn at 6:30pm. Also an adult female Peregrine over Court Lake, three Cetti’s Warblers, four Jays, a Grey Wagtail, 15 Swallows and 25 House Martins. (Craig Brookes).

Saul Warth     This morning at low tide a Wheatear, a Reed Warbler and a Yellow Wagtail calling. Also 66 Curlews, three Grey Herons, a Little Egret, four Swallows, another 15 in the village on wires, seven Meadow Pipits, five Chiffchaffs, a Blackcap, 15 Linnets, 12 Goldfinches, two Ravens, three Buzzards, a Kestrel and a Comma. Tresham     This evening a juvenile Ringed Plover feeding in a ploughed field. Also a Little Owl, four Yellowhammers, two Whitethroats, a Whinchat and a Green Woodpecker. (Paul Rich).

Hawling     Belated news of a TREE SPARROW on garden feeders late yesterday afternoon. (Sue Smith).

Leckhampton     Mid afternoon a Peregrine over Moorend Road, later presumably the same bird heard towards Leckhampton Hill then heard more distant still. Also two Ravens over. (Steve Brown).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This evening 80 Greylags, 24 Canada Geese, two Wigeon, 40 Teal, 60 Mallards, six Shovelers, six Grey Herons, two Little Egrets, six Great White Egrets, a Water Rail calling, 100 Swallows, ten House Martins, two Meadow Pipit, 20 Jackdaws and Goldfinches. (Mike Smart).

Frampton     An OSPREY on Court Lake from 9:12am until 10:15am when it was pushed off it’s perch by the adult Yellow-legged Gull. (Nigel Young/MK). Two OSPREYS from 11:20am until 2pm at least. WWT Slimbridge     An OSPREY seen from the Rushy at 2:15pm and hanging around until 3pm, likely one of the Frampton birds. Late afternoon 20+ Pied Wagtails on the island in front of the Peng Observatory on the Rushy and at least two White Wagtails amongst them. (Tim McGrath). Gloucester     A Ring-necked Parakeet on bird feeders in the garden at Kingsholm, this morning. (Paul Clark).

Highnam     Along the the renovated Hereford-Gloucester canal eight Mute Swans, two Moorhens, two Cormorants, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a few Chiffchaffs and a hunting Sparrowhawk. (John Fletcher).

Frampton     An OSPREY over Court Lake at 6pm and a Garganey by the reed bed. (Nick Goatman).

Witcombe Reservoirs     An unconfirmed fisherman’s report of an OSPREY early afternoon. (per Rich Baatsen).

Painswick     Migration watch this morning at Cud Hill from 8am to midday. Birds flying SW included a Hobby, 385 Swallows, 216 House Martins, four Sand Martins, four Lesser Black-backed Gulls and a Common Gull. Two Red Kites drifted around at 9:30am, five Ravens and six Buzzards in the area. (John Fleming).

WWT Slimbridge    Three Garganeys this morning showing well from Martin Smith hide. Greenshank, Spotted Redshank, Green Sandpiper Redshank and Lapwings all seen on the scrapes and around the Tack Piece. (Neil Smart). Seven Greenshanks on the Rushy. (Tim McGrath). Frampton     Two LITTLE GULLS on the sailing lake at 6pm. (Nick Goatman).

Sharpness     From SARA this morning at 8:30am at least 35 Redshanks, a Curlew, a Black-tailed Godwit and a Peregrine being mobbed by corvids. (Mike Davis).

Cherington     At the Lake and the very close two smaller ponds and surrounding woodland early afternoon two Little Grebes, 15 Mallards, five Moorhens, two Grey Herons, two Mute Swans, five Goldfinches and two Red Kites. (John Fletcher).

Hasfield Ham     An OSPREY again this morning on the river below Norton Hill on the Hasfield side. (Robin Lewis).

Ashleworth     An OSPREY over Ashleworth Quay area at 5:40pm then flew towards Ashleworth Ham and seemed to drop down near Stonebow Farm. Later seen perched up in a dead tree at Brawn End Ponds, Sandhurst briefly. (Andy Jayne).

Ablington     A grounded GANNET this afternoon was taken into care at Vale Wildlife Hospital, Beckford. (Richard Tyler).

Norton Hill     In the Sandhurst area today a Pied Flycatcher with two Spotted Flycatchers at SO842254 and an adult male Goshawk flushed off a Stock Dove kill on the lane by Abbot’s Lodge. A late Swift over Sandhurst Hill today. (Andy Jayne).

Saul Warth     This afternoon three Whinchats and two Wheatears along the rocks W of Hock Ditch. Also a Peregrine chasing Black-headed Gulls for fun before being chased by a Hobby, 92+ Shelducks, 28 Curlews, four Grey Herons, six Little Egrets, four Chiffchaffs, a Meadow Pipit, a Grey Wagtail and a Swallow. Frampton     At the Sailing Lake and along Marsh Lane two Whinchats, a Reed Warbler, nine Reed Buntings, six Meadow Pipits, 42 Chiffchaffs, nine Blackcaps, 38 Robins, five Cetti’s Warblers, 52 Swallows, 48 House Martins, 34 Blackbirds, 18 Song Thrushes, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, a Grey Wagtail, four Green Woodpeckers and seven Jays this morning. WWT Slimbridge    Two Garganeys and three Spotted Redshanks on the Rushy today. The leucistic Marsh Harrier flew along the sea wall showing briefly from the Zeiss hide. Chavenage Lane     This morning a Whinchat and at least six Willow Warblers. (Paul Rich).

Longney     At least four Whinchats and between the pill and Longney Crib. Also a first-winter Yellow-legged Gull and two Common Sandpipers. (Jeremy Squire).

Winchcombe    1000+ hirundines predominately Swallows and lesser numbers of House Martins in 15-20 minutes following the Cotswold Hill line this morning. (John Kime).

Nailsworth     A movement of summer migrants this afternoon in the Chavenage Lane area, 75+ Chiffchaffs, at least four Willow Warblers, five Blackcaps, two Whitethroats, a Whinchat, a summer plumaged male Redstart, a Spotted Flycatcher, 140+ Swallows, 15+ House Martins, five Red Kites, four Kestrels and a male Goshawk. Eastleach area     At Macaroni Wood, a Marsh Harrier hunting the verge of the Fairford to Hatherop road viewed from the wood, four Buzzards, a Red Kite, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Jay, a Marsh Tit, two Nuthatches and Long Tailed Tits heard. Gloucester     This morning in Barnwood at 8am a Wheatear near the entrance to Newstead Road. At Horsbere Brook 8:15-9:15am a Kingfisher, a Water Rail heard, a Wheatear, two Blackcaps, a Whitethroat, c15 Chiffchaffs, many Goldfinches, four Greenfinches, a Reed Bunting, a Grey Heron and a Cormorant. Purton     This afternoon a first-winter CASPIAN GULL loitering around Tites Point/Purton area (four fly-bys in two hours). A Little Stint amongst 160 Ringed Plovers and 50 Dunlins and a Hobby marauding the steady NE passage of hirundines. (Francis Steuck).

Saul Warth     At high tide five Greenshanks, six Avocets, 37 Ringed Plovers, 11 Dunlins, 66+ Curlews, nine Teal, 123+ Shelducks, a Little Egret, three Grey Herons, a dark chocolate brown juvenile Marsh Harrier hunting by Fretherne Church, a Buzzard, two Kestrels, four Cormorants, 75 Swallows flew W, eight Pied Wagtails and three Chiffchaffs. WWT Slimbridge     From the Shepherds Hut two BLACK TERNS flew downriver and 16 Pintails on the mud. (Martin McGill). From Middle Point two Curlew Sandpipers, a Little Stint, a Knot in a mixed flock of small waders including Dunlins, Ringed Plovers and 1+ Sanderling. Two Bar-tailed Godwits with Curlews viewed from Zeiss hide. Also 24 Ruff, another Knot, a Great White Egret, a SPOONBILL and two Pintails. (Steve Rickard).

Poulton     Belated news for yesterday 4th, 6+ Grey Partridges, two adults and a minimum of four smaller young feeding in a newly harvested field near the village between the A417 and Ashbrook Lane. (John Durell).

Cockadilly     A Grey Wagtail in the garden today, the first record in 25 years. (David Price).
