Saul Warth     Early morning at high tide 31 Shelducks, nine Wigeon, seven Teal, five Curlews, 20 Golden Plovers flew E, a singing Song Thrush, 25 Fieldfares, nine Meadow Pipits, a Reed Bunting and 1000+ Starlings flew over the Warth at dawn from a roost at Frampton. (MK).

Frampton pools     Around the pools a male Goosander, a male Goldeneye, nine Cattle Egrets, 32 Little Egrets, two Great White Egrets, 54 Cormorants, nine Shovelers, 40 Gadwalls, seven Teal, three Little Grebes, five Stonechats, seven Chiffchaffs, eight Blackcaps, two Nuthatches. 16 Redwings, nine Fieldfares, eight Siskins and 12 Goldcrests. Winchcombe     On Salter’s Hill birds included a Bullfinch, three Nuthatches, a Goldcrest, four Marsh Tits, four Goldfinches, three Chaffinches, a Song Thrush, a Red Kite, two Ravens and many Redwings. (Danny Sturgeon).

Stonehouse     Up to four male Kingfishers and a female this morning (and yesterday) from Ebley Mill to Ryeford. Also along the canal 5+ Cormorants, a Buzzard, a Water Rail, Goldcrests, a pair of Jays, 10+ Magpies, two Redwings and five Song Thrushes. (Paul Sutton).

WWT Slimbridge     A drake GREEN-WINGED TEAL on South Lake from Discovery Hide at 3pm before being flushed. (Ella Slinn). Also on South Lake two Cattle Egrets and 12 Avocets. Two Firecrests still along the Estuary Tower walkway today. 25 Bewick’s Swans, a Little Stint, 500+ Dunlins, 341 Black-tailed Godwits, 66 Redshanks and 26 Ruff. (Dot Jones/Tim Jukes).

WWT Slimbridge     The Dark-bellied Brent Goose on the Dumbles and the Pink-footed Goose, of unknown origin, with the feral goose flock. A Little Stint from Estuary Tower. 26 Bewick’s Swans at the early swan feed at the Rushy and a Tawny Owl flew over. (Ian Ralphs/Slimbridge Sightings).

Saul Warth     Early morning on a falling tide, 24 Shelducks, 40 Wigeon, 42 Curlews, two Little Egrets, a Kestrel, two Buzzards, nine Fieldfares, a singing Song Thrush, a Mistle Thrush, 26 Chaffinches and a Reed Bunting. Also four Roe Deer. (MK).

Frampton pools     This afternoon south of the sailing lake three Chiffchaffs, three Goldcrests, three Snipe and six Meadow Pipits. (Nick Goatman).

WWT Slimbridge     A male and a female FIRECREST active together today and seen taking grubs along the Estuary Walkway amongst Goldcrests, Chiffchaffs and Long-tailed Tits, mainly between Stephen Kirk hide and Knott hide. 29 Bewick’s Swans on site today. A Little Stint still with Dunlins on the Tack Piece. A Treecreeper in the Spinney. Cotswold Water Park East     At Pit 114 a Marsh Harrier hunting, 1000 Teal and Wigeon, a few Pintail and up to ten Goldeneyes. The escaped Scarlet Ibis showed well on Roundhouse lake from the hide in the left hand corner with three Little Egrets. (Duncan Dine).

Saul Warth     This morning a strong SW wind had cleared out the site. 65 Shelducks, 161 Curlews, four Buzzards, three Kestrels, 150 Starlings and four Fieldfares. 15 Cattle Egrets and five Little Egrets opposite Dunstalls Farm. Nearby a Red Kite at Longney at 10:24pm. (MK).

Westonbirt    13+ Crossbills around the Silk Wood area of the arboretum this afternoon. (Jon Haw).

Frampton pools    At the sailing lake a Yellow-legged Gull, a Great White Egret and four Stonechats in the weedy field still. (Nick Goatman). Also around the pools this morning a Little Grebe, a Great Crested Grebe, a Red Kite, a Goldcrest, a Linnet and a Meadow Pipit. (Peter Bryant). In the Court Lake roost late afternoon 33 Cattle Egrets, 19 Little Egrets, five Great White Egrets and 56 Cormorants. (Nick Goatman).

Hazleton     Along the minor road towards Salperton, two BRAMBLINGS with 20 Chaffinches, c50 Fieldfares and a few Redwings. Near Hazleton Garage a singing Corn Bunting and a Kestrel. Just over the A40 on the road to Compton Abdale two Muntjacs. Several Red Kites and two Buzzards in the general area. (Steve Brown).

Chavenage Lane     Four Red Kites and 25+ Corn Buntings, and a MERLIN diving several times at something in the grass at Barton End. (Terry Grant).

Elmore Court     In the rewilding area c30 Snipe flushed near the waterlogged corner, also 20+ Skylarks, 10+ Meadow Pipits, two Stonechats, six Reed Buntings. 12 Stock Doves, c20 Pheasants and two Roe Deer. (Steve Pullen).

Saul Warth     Early morning a SHORT-EARED OWL flushed by crows, a flock of 300 Wigeon flew S. Also 52 Shelducks, 128 Curlews, three Buzzards, a Raven, a Chiffchaff, three Redwings, three Fieldfares, seven Meadow Pipits and a Reed Bunting. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge     52 White-fronted Geese on the Tack Piece, 16 Common Cranes (14 on Dumbles, 2 on the river), a FIRECREST and a Goldcrest close to the Robbie Garnett hide, two Marsh Harriers and a Buzzard over the Dumbles and a male Goldeneye on South Lake. (Paul Clark).

Gloucester     A Parakeet, presumably Ring-necked, seen and heard at 3.30 this afternoon flying over Horton Road towards the hospital. (Anne Dobbs).

Tewkesbury     At Mythe Hook five Greylags, 90 Canada Geese, five Wigeon, 25 Teal, 40 Mallards, a singing Cetti’s Warbler and two Reed Buntings. (Mike Smart).

River Chelt and Norton and Leigh Meadows     165 Black-headed Gulls, 100+ Starling murmuration with 20+ Fieldfares, 50+ Pied Wagtails, 50 Fieldfares, ten Redwings, five Stonechats, five Meadow Pipits, three Herring Gulls, a Mute Swan, nine Mallards, six Wigeon, four Shovelers, eight Grey Herons, six Little Egrets, four Cormorants, two Ravens, a Coot, a Buzzard, a Grey Wagtail and a Reed Bunting today. Frampton     At lunchtime at the sailing lake a YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER feeding well in the southern hedge. Also two Chiffchaffs, three Blackcaps, four Stonechats and a few Redwings. (Nick Goatman). The YELLOW-BROWED WARBLER was relocated in the hedge at 4:10pm after a 2 hour search. (Martin McGill/MK).

Alderton      A female BLACK REDSTART this afternoon in private gardens. (Graham Tompsett).

WWT Slimbridge     A Dark-bellied Brent Goose on the Dumbles. (Dot Jones). A very elusive FIRECREST glimpsed in the trees between Willow hide and Knott hide, with many Goldcrests and Chiffchaffs. A Kingfisher briefly from Knott hide . Three Snipe on the Tack Piece. (Chris Newton). A BITTERN flew from the Zeiss hide reedbed over Van de Bovenkamp hide into South Finger reedbed at 10:18am. Chavenage Lane area     A flock of c40 Corn Buntings flew W towards Barton End, seven Red Kites and 8+ Buzzards today. (Terry Grant).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This afternoon, no access to Grundon Hide as the path is flooded, a Buzzard, a Kestrel, 40+ Fieldfares, 10+ Redwings, three Bullfinches, a Greenfinch, three Chiffchaffs, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Lapwing, three Gadwalls, 100+ Teal and 100+ Pintails. (Paul Clark). This morning 26 Greylags, 350 Wigeon, 14 Gadwalls, 350 Teal, 30 Mallards, 60 Pintails, 12 Shovelers, a Grey Heron, a Water Rail calling, ten Coots, a Lapwing, five Herring Gulls, 30 Fieldfares and a Cetti’s Warbler singing. Rodley    At Wilmore Common today 83 Shovelers, 210 Wigeon, 60 Teal, 35 Mallards and a Little Egret. (Andy Jayne).

Forest of Dean     This morning at Cannop lower pond a pair of Goosanders, two Kingfishers, a Little Grebe and an immature Cormorant. On the Upper pond four Little Grebes, c20 Mandarins and more Mandarins in the small ponds to the side of the main pond. (Alan Waterman).

WWT Slimbridge    A FIRECREST next to Willow hide again. 28 Bewick’s Swans on site today, a Green Sandpiper on the Rushy, a Marsh Harrier over the Dumbles, 6+ Linnets from Estuary Tower. A Sparrowhawk and a Buzzard from Zeiss hide over the Top New Piece. 10+ Long-tailed Tits, a Treecreeper and two Goldcrests in the Rookery. A Little Stint on the Tack Piece with c50 Dunlins. Elmore Court     In the rewilding area today, a least 350 Redwings and 150 Fieldfares feeding on berries. A Green Woodpecker, a Snipe, a Cetti’s Warbler, six Stonechats, two Siskins and a flock of 29 Stock Doves. (Steve Pullen).
