Bussage     At Frithwood 30+ Chaffinches, three Siskins, two Jays, six Wrens, a Mistle Thrush, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Green Woodpecker in the cemetery opposite. On the garden feeders a Lesser Redpoll, 12 Goldfinches, five Siskins, a male Blackcap and a female Bullfinch. In an adjacent garden on Cotoneaster and Sorbus three WAXWINGS early afternoon, seven Redwings, a Fieldfare and 14 Blackbirds. Arlingham     The RICHARD’S PIPIT still this afternoon at 4:30pm in the field S of the mistletoe-covered hawthorn, at cSO715120. (Colin Greenfield).

Brimscombe     On the Frome two Dippers at Belvedere Mill. (Michael Cook).

Edgeworth     5-6 BRAMBLINGS this afternoon E of Edgeworth and E of Duntisbourne House, around the crossroads in a set-aside field. Also a Red Kite over A417 at Birdlip at 3pm. (Jon Mercer). Pic by Jon.brambling-280117

Dursley    A male BRAMBLING in with a flock c30 Chaffinches at Twinberrow Wood around the sculpture trail. (Phil Pope).

Forest of Dean    At Staple Edge Wood a GREAT GREY SHRIKE and 23 Crossbills today. At Crabtree Hill a GREAT GREY SHRIKE, seven Crossbills, two Stonechats, a Goshawk, a Red Kite and a mixed flock of 100+ Siskins and Lesser Redpolls. (Lewis Thomson/Frank Williams/Alan Baxter). At Serridge Green a Goshawk, 32 Bramblings feeding on the Beech mast and 40+ very flighty/calling Crossbills. At Parkend four Hawfinches feeding under the Yew trees. On Cannop Stoneworks Lake two male Goosanders. (Alan Baxter). A Dipper at Wenchford, and at Mallards Pike 12 Fieldfares, five Song Thrushes and three Jays. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Symonds Yat     From Yat Rock the Peregrine pair and an intruding Peregrine, two Goshawks, a male Sparrowhawk, six Buzzards, a Tawny Owl, a Grey Heron, the resident Raven pair, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Green Woodpecker, a Goldcrest, Long-tailed Tits, a pair of Goosanders, two Stock Doves and 11 Fallow Deer. Frampton     The GREAT WHITE EGRET, two CATTLE EGRETS and  Little Egret late afternoon at Court Lake. (Nick Goatman). 20+ Yellowhammers down Marsh Lane early afternoon at SO749056. (MK).

Upham Meadow     The GREAT WHITE EGRET today but distant. (Sarah Loaring).

Epney     300+ Wigeon roosting opposite the Anchor Inn at 2pm, also 55 Lapwings. (MK).

Coombe Hill Meadows     Birds included a Shelduck, 110 Wigeon, 175 Teal, 20 Mallards, six Pintails, 20 Shovelers, a Grey Heron and a Peregrine. (Mike Smart).

Ashleworth     Birds included 20 Greylags, 200 Wigeon, 700 Teal, 20 Mallards, six Pintails, ten Shovelers, a Buzzard, 20 Lapwings and 15 Snipe. (Les Brown/Mike Smart).
