Cleeve Hill     A male NIGHTJAR disturbed while resting in the centre of Warden’s Wood early morning. Also a Cuckoo here. Corn buntings singing along West Down and near Wontley Barn. Redstarts in song at Wontley Barn and West Wood, and three Tree Pipits singing between these two sites. Frampton     A Marsh Harrier, a Hobby, four Whimbrels, a Curlew, two Redshanks and four Common Terns at Splatt Bridge tonight and another five Common Terns at the Sailing Lake. (Gordon Hodgson). Also a singing Nightingale at the pools tonight. (James Robinson).

WWT Slimbridge     A pair of Mediterranean gulls at South Lake today and a first summer bird on the Rushy. (James Robinson).

Forest of Dean     Near Speech House a Firecrest, a Wood Warbler, two Crossbills, 10+ and Siskins. At Nagshead two Pied Flycatchers, two, possibly four Redstarts (two nest building). (Terry Grant). Also a Spotted Flycatcher, a Garden Warbler, a Willow Warbler, a Blackcap, a Bullfinch, a Buzzard, Jays, a Goldcrest, Stock Doves and a Fox cub. (Chris & Phil Andrews). Redstart pics by Terry. Symonds Yat     In the Yat Rock area the Peregrine pair, a Sparrowhawk, Swallows, Ravens, Swifts, Stock Doves, a pair of Bullfinches and a Blackcap. Also a Rose Chafer, a Green-veined White butterfly and four Fallow Deer. (Chris & Phil Andrews).

Gloucester     At Alney Island a Cuckoo, a Sedge Warbler, five Whitethroats, nine Blackcaps, five Chiffchaffs, four Reed Buntings, a Buzzard, two Stock Doves and a Swallow. (Mark Grieve).
