Frampton     At least five Hobbies over Court Lake. (Terry Grant).

Saul Warth     Nine Greenshanks and a Sanderling flew off N at the rising of the tide, also 12 Grey Plovers briefly, a Gadwall, a Little Egret, a Cormorant, a pair of Whitethroats, a pair of Skylarks appeared to be carrying food, three Linnets, eight House Martins and a Chiffchaff. Forest of Dean    In the Mallards Pike/Staple Edge/Middleridge area today a Goshawk, three Ravens, two Wood Warblers, 12 Garden Warblers, two Firecrests, a Spotted Flycatcher, two Redstarts, eight Tree Pipits and eight Crossbills. (Andy Jayne).

Gloucester     At Alney Island this morning a male Cuckoo, a male Reed Bunting, 8+ Reed Warblers, a Green Woodpecker, a Sparrowhawk, six Blackcaps (5m, 1f), a Treecreeper, three Chiffchaffs and three Buzzards. (Dave Stone). Pic by Dave.

Kingscote     A Red Kite at 11am over new mown grass at Symonds Hall Farm ST793960 and a Bullfinch at Walnut Farm, Bagpath Lane at ST 810956. (Martin Saunders).

Oakridge     At Strawberry Banks N.R. SO0910033 c6 Marsh Fritillaries favouring the lower slopes, also Small Copper, Dingy Skipper, Brimstone, Large White, Orange Tip, Peacock, Holly Blue and Speckled Wood. Birds included a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Jay, a Nuthatch, a Marsh Tit and a Buzzard. (Steve Brown).

My name is Mike King and have lived all my life in Gloucestershire. I am happiest birding around Frampton but I especially love Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
