Hawling area    In the Southdown Farm area today a Red Kite, three Whitethroats, a Swallow, a Skylark and 50 Starlings including juveniles. Also Large Skipper and Small Heath butterflies. At Warden’s Way off the Salt Way a Willow Warbler carrying food. (Keith White).

WWT Slimbridge     A breeding plumaged Ruff on an island from Zeiss hide this afternoon. (Alan Jones). The Ross’s Goose today and a Red Kite over. (Mark Pidgeon).

Halmore     Two singing Whitethroats this morning and a Hobby over. (Chris Newton).

Frampton    At Court Lake a pair of Oystercatchers mating, a pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers, later with a juvenile, a Cetti’s Warbler, several Chiffchaffs and a Blackcap. Last night seven Little Egrets roosting and a Grey Heron. (Paul Sutton).

Forest of Dean     A Red Kite over Brookend near Woolaston today. Also two Swifts flying around. (Ian Gorton).

Kings Stanley     A Red Kite over this evening, heading towards Selsley Common. (Allan Jeffcutt).

Staverton     Two Red Kites being mobbed over Dundry Nurseries this morning. (Ken Hurcombe).

Bourton-on-the-Water     A pair of Oystercatchers over this evening, a garden tick. (Keith Jennings).
