WWT Slimbridge    15 TUNDRA BEAN GEESE with a Pink-footed Goose on the Dumbles this morning. The JACK SNIPE showed well from Martin Smith hide again. A Sanderling and a Little Stint on the Tack Piece amongst masses of wading birds. An adult MEDITERRANEAN GULL on South Lake and the pair of WHOOPER SWANS were on the Rushy until midday at least. Cotswold Water Park West     On Pit 87 the GREAT NORTHERN DIVER still and a Great White Egret. On Pit 44 25 Red Crested Pochards, on Pit 57 four Goldeneyes and on Pit 41 16 Goosanders. (Paul Rich).

Batsford     At LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER in Batsford Arboretum, calling and then seen drumming at 11:40am at the far end of the Arboretum close to the Church. Admission charge £12. (Arthur Ball).

Nailsworth     A MERLIN again today at Barton End, perched on a wall at 9:30am.  Also a Marsh Tit and a distant flock of c80-100 Fieldfares along Chavenage Lane chased off by a Sparrowhawk. (Roy Bircher).

Leigh Meadows     This morning 12 Mute Swans, 40 Mallards, 12 Shovelers, 30 Teal, 12 Wigeon, four Egyptian Geese, two Canada Geese, five Little Egrets, 60 Black-headed Gulls, four Herring Gulls, two Great Black-backed Gulls, 40 Pied Wagtails, 20 Redwings, six Fieldfares, two Stonechats, a Grey Wagtail, a Chiffchaff, two Greenfinches, 14 Chaffinches, a Peregrine and Buzzard. (Shaun Curtis).

Hawling Triangle     150 Lapwings in a field of winter greens today. (Andy Lewis).

Rendcomb     A Dipper downstream of the bridge today. (Andy Lewis).
