Forest of Dean    In the Woorgreens/Crabtree Hill area a Wood Warbler, a Spotted Flycatcher, two Firecrests, a Grey Wagtail, four Tree Pipits, four Stonechats, two Garden Warblers, four Redstarts, four Buzzards, a Treecreeper, two Siskins and 15 Crossbills. In the Cannop Upper Pond area a Dipper, two Grey Wagtails and two Mistle Thrushes. At Parkend in Crown Lane two Hawfinches and five Mistle Thrushes on the cricket pitch. At Nagshead two Pied Flycatchers, two Hawfinches, a Redstart, two Firecrests, a Raven, a Sparrowhawk, a Mistle Thrush, two Siskins and a Garden Warbler. In the Soudley Ponds area two Firecrests, eight Mandarin some with ducklings, two Grey Wagtails, a Raven and four Little Grebes. (Roger Gillespie). This afternoon at Nagshead a Garden Warbler heard, a Nuthatch, a pair of Jays and a male Redstart. 3-4 Wood Warblers heard in Kensleyridge Inclosure. A Swift seen from Cannop Stoneworks.  Several House Martins above Silver Street, Littledean at 11 am. (Andy & Sue Gibbons).

Frampton     Around the pools this evening two Spotted Flycatcher, a Hobby and 30+ Swifts. This morning eight Common Terns, a Common Sandpiper, a Garden Warbler, an Oystercatcher and a Yellow-legged Gull. (Nick Goatman).

WWT Slimbridge     A BITTERN showed well from Knott hide and the Estuary Tower this afternoon. (Terry Stevenson).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning a Red Kite, four Grey Herons, four Egyptian Geese, two Oystercatchers and three chicks, six Lapwings, three Stock Doves, three male Redstarts, five male Reed Buntings, a Reed Warbler, 12+ Sedge Warblers, five Chiffchaffs, four Whitethroats, three Shovelers and three Roe Deer. Edge     At Rudge Hill N.R. today a Red Kite, a Buzzard, two Jays, a Song Thrush and a few Willow Warblers. Butterflies included Duke of Burgundy, Brown Argus, Painted Lady, Green Hairstreak, Small Heath and Small Copper, also a Common Heath, a Mint Moth and a Cardinal Beetle. (Paul Sutton).
