Forest of Dean     Last night the first Nightjar churring and wing clapping back at a traditional site. Also a Woodcock and two juvenile Tawny Owls calling. (Dominic Godfrey).

Stonehouse    A Common Tern over the Ocean/canal this morning just after 8am. (Simon Spedding).

Saul Warth     Between 6:15-8:15am post tide 34 Shelducks, two Sanderlings, 400 flighty small waders comprised c150 Dunlins and c250 Ringed Plovers, two Bar-tailed Godwits, 11 Curlews, 12 Oystercatchers, a Marsh Harrier, a Great White Egret, three Skylarks and 24 Swallows. (MK).

Frampton    From Splatt Bridge early this morning, three Cuckoos including a female chasing each other around the edge of the 100- Acre, four Common Cranes, five Swifts, a Redshank, two Oystercatchers, a Kingfisher and a Lesser Whitethroat. (Steve Pullen). At the pools this morning ten Oystercatchers, five Common Terns, a Garden Warbler and a Cuckoo calling. (Nick Goatman).

WWT Slimbridge    A BITTERN seen from the Estuary Tower flying down past the Zeiss hide again. A Mediterranean Gull on the Rushy this morning and a Lesser Whitethroat singing in the hedge by the Rushy. (Ian Ralphs).

Norton & The Leigh Meadows     At 9am 10+ Greenfinches, 5+ Blackcaps, 5+ Chiffchaffs, four Skylarks, three Yellow Wagtails, two Linnets, 20 Mallards, a Grey Heron, a Whitethroat, a Reed Bunting and a Raven. (Shaun Curtis).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This afternoon 10+ Sedge Warblers, four Chiffchaffs, two Blackcaps, four Skylarks, a Grey Heron, 40+ Mallards, 25+ Canada Geese, 15+ Greylags, four Lapwings, a drake Pintail, a drake Gadwall, a Little Ringed Plover, a Redshank, two Pied Wagtails, two Yellow Wagtails, a Redstart, a Mute Swan, an Oystercatcher, a Curlew, two Buzzards, a Kestrel and a Red Kite. Cotswold Water Park West     At the Gateway Centre, singing birds including Garden Warbler, Cetti’s Warbler, Blackcap, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler and Chiffchaff. Also a Great Crested Grebe with two well grown young and a Jay. (Steve Brown).

Cheltenham     At Sandford Park a male Mandarin on the Chelt. (Steve Brown).
