Apperley     A QUAIL calling at Haw Bridge first thing this morning. (Robin Lewis).

Saul Warth     Between 6:15-8:45am at high tide 55 Shelducks, two Turnstones, 11 Knot, 200+ Dunlins, 200+ Ringed Plovers, 25+ Sanderlings, a Redshank, three Bar-tailed Godwits, two Whimbrels, seven Curlews, seven Oystercatchers, a Common Crane, a Cuckoo heard, a Grey Wagtail, two House Martins, 20+ Swallows and a Roe Deer. WWT Slimbridge     On the Rushy 63 Avocets and three 2nd calendar year Mediterranean Gulls. (Paul Clark).

Forest of Dean     At Beechenhurst two Wood Warblers, a Pied Flycatcher and two Redstarts heard singing. Also a Coal Tit and a Nuthatch. At Brierley Crossbills and Siskins heard. Two Bullfinches at Ruspidge Halt. (Steve Brown).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning two Mute Swans, 40 Greylags, two Canada Geese, two Egyptian Geese, a drake Gadwall, 30 Mallards and a female with 5 ducklings on the canal, a drake Shoveler, a Grey Heron, five Coots and a pair at Wharf with 2 young, two Oystercatchers with 3 chicks, five Lapwings, a male Ruff in full breeding plumage with shiny black ruff, four Redshanks, 5+ Skylarks, five Swallows, ten Sand Martins, four Yellow Wagtails, 3+ Redstarts, a Cetti’s Warbler, 5+ Sedge Warblers, 5+ Whitethroats, three Blackcaps, 3+ Chiffchaffs and 3+ Reed Buntings. Haresfield     Opposite the garden centre late morning five Yellow Wagtails, three Yellowhammers, three Skylarks, 40+ Swifts, a Green Woodpecker, two Jays, two Red Kites, two Buzzards, a Kestrel, a Sparrowhawk and three Roe Deer. (Steve Pullen).

Twyning    Two Cuckoos calling together along the Avon towards Twyning this morning. (Sarah Loaring).

Leckhampton     A Red Kite drifting W continually calling, two Swifts flew east diverting briefly to harass the Kite. (Steve Brown).
