Coombe Hill Meadows     A QUAIL calling for about 45 minutes mid-morning both from the Snipe Pool field and later around the main scrape. (Ian Ralphs/Martin McGill/Jeremy Squire). Also this morning nine Mute Swans, a Canada Goose, 19 Greylags, a Shelduck, 32 Mallards and at least 3 broods of ducklings, two pairs of Tufted Ducks, two drake Shovelers, a drake Pintail, four drake Gadwalls, a Teal, a Curlew, a pair of Oystercatchers with 3 young, eight Lapwings, four Redshanks, a Little Ringed Plover, a Snipe, six Grey Herons, two Great White Egrets, a Little Egret, eight adult Coots and four adult Moorhens both with young on the canal, a Lesser Black-backed Gull, a Cuckoo calling, a Cetti’s Warbler, three Reed Warblers and 21 singing male Sedge Warblers. WWT Slimbridge    This morning four first summer Mediterranean Gulls on the Rushy causeway. (Tim McGrath). From Zeiss hide a BITTERN flew and landed in reedbed left of Van De Bovenkamp at 11:15am then flew towards the Kingfisher hide at 11:56am. Also a Ruff, a Sparrowhawk, a Red Kite and two Buzzards. From Estuary Tower earlier the DARK-BELLIED BRENT GOOSE and the Tundra Bean Goose still. (Oliver Paisey/Dot Jones/Tim Jukes).

Saul Warth     Between 6:15-9:15am at high tide 40 Shelducks +3 ducklings, three Turnstones, four Knot, 200+ Dunlins, 200+ Ringed Plovers, 25 Sanderlings, three Bar-tailed Godwits, a Whimbrel, ten Curlews, four Oystercatchers, a Whitethroat, four Skylarks, three House Martins, a Sand Martin and 20+ Swallows. Frampton     A Spotted Flycatcher, five Common Terns, a Garden Warbler and a Cuckoo around the pools this morning. (Nick Goatman/Mike Davis).

Ashleworth & Hasfield Hams     This morning eight Mute Swans, four Greylags, four Canada Geese +4 goslings, two pairs of Shelducks +7 ducklings. 15 Mallards +1 duckling, three drake Gadwalls, three Grey Herons, a Little Egret, a Coot, a Moorhen, a Peregrine and a Cuckoo. (Mike Smart).

Cobney Meadows     Two Mute Swans, three Greylags, 15 Canada Geese, a drake Mandarin, 30 Mallards, a Little Egret, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Swifts, two Redstarts, a Reed Warbler, 2+ Sedge Warblers, four Blackcaps and two Chiffchaff. (Mike Smart).

Leigh Meadows     Ten Mallards, three Grey Herons, a Little Egret, a Red Kite, a Buzzard, a Swift, two Skylarks, two Yellow Wagtails, two Redstarts, 2+ Sedge Warblers, two Blackcaps and a Reed Bunting. (Mike Smart).

Chaceley Meadows     Two Redstarts, a Garden Warbler, a Lesser Whitethroat and four Linnets today. (Mike Smart).
