WWT Slimbridge Around the grounds today a Cuckoo, a Cattle Egret, a male Kingfisher, a Ruff, a Kestrel, 2+ Red Kites and a BITTERN distantly flying inland towards Purton at 10:40am. (Oliver Paisey).

Haresfield This morning opposite the garden centre four Yellow Wagtails, six Yellowhammers, six Skylarks, two Linnets, a Little Owl briefly, two Buzzards, four Stock Doves and several Painted Lady butterflies. (Steve Pullen).
Frampton Around the pools today two broods of Tawny Owlets, two Spotted Flycatchers and a Cuckoo. Butterflies included 33 Painted Ladies, two Orange Tips, 12 Common Blues, three Brimstones, two Speckled Woods, a Peacock, a Red Admiral and three Holly Blues. (Nick Goatman).
