Frampton Three adult LITTLE GULLS circling high over the sailing lake heading SE at 7:30pm. Also two Great White Egrets and nine Little Egrets and many Painted Ladies this evening. (Nick Goatman).
WWT Slimbridge A LITTLE GULL on the Tack Piece this afternoon at 2pm. On South Lake two Common Terns, 79 Avocets and 27 Black-tailed Godwits. (Ian Hull). Also a Greenshank on the Tack Piece. (Dot jones).
Purton At 2pm a BITTERN flew south over the canal towards the Timber Ponds. (Mike Davis).
Saul Warth Early morning high tide 57 Shelducks including eight ducklings, a Grey Plover, eight Oystercatchers, 12 Curlews, a Ringed Plover, 15 Sanderlings, two Dunlins, two Redshanks, five Little Egrets, two Cuckoos, seven Swallows, four Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Grey Wagtail and a Muntjac came out of the river and made it ashore. Coombe Hill Meadows 10+ Reed Buntings, four Sedge Warblers, two Reed Warblers, three Whitethroats, 4+ Yellow Wagtails, 6+ Skylarks, three Grey Herons, two Oystercatchers, a Redshank, a Little Ringed Plover and two Cuckoos. Also two male Scarce Chasers, 10+ Common Darters and 10+ Ruddy Darters and dozens of Painted Ladies. (Paul Clark).
Haresfield Opposite the garden centre this afternoon, four Yellowhammers and at least two Yellow Wagtails. (Nigel Young).
Northleach 17 Red Kites over Northleach today. (Joe Hilliard).
Avening On Minchinhampton Golf Course a Little Grebe in breeding plumage at the pond at the 10th hole and another at the 12th hole. Between these two ponds 30 Greylags with three goslings and four Blackcaps around the course. (Mil Petkovic).
