Gloucester     The male BLACK REDSTART singing loudly this morning on Eastgate Street above Starbucks. It could be heard from Kings Square and New Inn Lane too. (Craig Brookes).

Frampton     At the sailing lake a Garden Warbler singing, two Hobbies, a Kestrel, a Sparrowhawk, a Red Kite, a Buzzard, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Cuckoo heard, a Black Swan, a Great Crested Grebe and 25+ Painted Ladies. (Oliver Paisey).

Saul Warth     At 6am over high tide 70 Shelducks, eight drake Tufted Ducks flew N, a Grey Plover, four Oystercatchers, a Whimbrel, ten Curlews, 25 Ringed Plovers, five Sanderlings, ten Dunlins, nine Little Egrets, nine Swallows, four Whitethroats, a Reed Warbler, a Grey Wagtail feeding young and a Green Woodpecker. Also a Silver-Y moth, a Painted Lady and two Roe Deer. (MK). Also a Spotted Flycatcher near the treatment works and an adult Mediterranean Gull on the river. (Martin Wightman/Bill Church).

WWT Slimbridge     A BITTERN flew in to Knott pool at 1:42pm then back towards Zeiss hide at 1:55pm. (Mark Hobson). 7+ juvenile Avocets on the Rushy, 5+ Red Kites over the canal side of the Bottom New Piece from the Estuary tower, two Marsh Harriers, new Shelduck brood of six on the Decoy pond and 16 large juveniles in the Rushy creche, a male Kingfisher took fish into the nest in the Decoy. Coombe Hill Meadows     A Spotted Flycatcher 100 metres W of the bench in the hedge this morning. Two Greenshanks and a Ringed Plover on the main scrape. Also three Hairy Dragonflies on the Snipe Pool, with at least three Scarce Chasers on the canal, many Painted Ladies and Silver-Y moths. (Ian Ralphs/Ian Hull).

Elmore Court     In the rewilding area late morning, a Red Kite, two Tawny Owls hooted and two Jays, lots of Butterflies about including 15+ Painted Ladies, Large Skippers and Small Skippers. (Steve Pullen).

Haresfield     Opposite the garden centre this morning, seven Yellowhammers including four singing males, three Yellow Wagtails, three Lesser Whitethroats, five Skylarks, four Linnets, two Red Kites, four Buzzards and a Stoat. (Steve Pullen).
