WWT Slimbridge The LITTLE GULL again from midday on the Tack Piece, and the BITTERN flew out towards Purton, also a Cuckoo calling. (Steve Pullen/Duncan & Becky Dine). Coombe Hill Meadows This morning two Mute Swan with cygnets, a drake Wigeon, 6+ Gadwalls, 35 Mallards, a drake Pintail, a pair of Shovelers, a Grey Heron, five Coots and three Moorhens both with chicks on the canal, a pair of Oystercatcher with three nearly full-grown chicks, a Little Ringed Plover, four Lapwings and at least two chicks, a Curlew, 2+ Redshanks, three Skylarks, at least two Yellow Wagtails, 2+ Sedge Warblers, 2+ Whitethroats, 4+ Blackcaps, 3+ Chiffchaffs and 2+ Reed Bunting.
