Lydney Harbour     Between 3:35 to 4:45pm a juvenile KITTIWAKE, a Shelduck, four Black-headed Gulls, a Common Gull, ten Great Black-backed Gull, a Chiffchaff, a Cetti’s Warbler, a Blackcap and six Linnets. (Stephen Curtis & Carol Rushton).

WWT Slimbridge     The LITTLE GULL again from midday on the Tack Piece, and the BITTERN flew out towards Purton, also a Cuckoo calling. (Steve Pullen/Duncan & Becky Dine). This morning three mobile SPOONBILLS, a Mediterranean Gull, a pair of Kingfishers in the Decoy and a Jay flew past Martin Smith hide and a drake Wigeon there. (MK/Mike Davis).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning two Mute Swan with cygnets, a drake Wigeon, 6+ Gadwalls, 35 Mallards, a drake Pintail, a pair of Shovelers, a Grey Heron, five Coots and three Moorhens both with chicks on the canal, a pair of Oystercatcher with three nearly full-grown chicks, a Little Ringed Plover, four Lapwings and at least two chicks, a Curlew, 2+ Redshanks, three Skylarks, at least two Yellow Wagtails, 2+ Sedge Warblers, 2+ Whitethroats, 4+ Blackcaps, 3+ Chiffchaffs and 2+ Reed Bunting. Frampton pools     Around the pools a Spotted Flycatcher, 20+ Swifts, a few Sand Martins, a pair of Oystercatchers feeding young on Court Lake, the Ross’s Goose still and seven Common Terns. (Nick Goatman).
