Saul Warth Early morning for high tide an early returning male Wheatear and a juvenile Stonechat. Also 61 Avocets, ten Oystercatchers, 30 Black-tailed Godwits, a Common Tern, two Little Egrets, three Yellow Wagtails, a Grey Wagtail and nine Swallows. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge This morning two adult summer plumaged Spotted Redshanks and at least two male Ruff in a tightly packed flock of roosting waders on South Lake. (MK). A BITTERN showing well in a tree from Estuary Tower early morning. (Ian Hull).
Frampton In the field S of the sailing lake a Garden Warbler collecting insects, two families of Whitethroats being fed, a family of Goldfinches, six Swifts, on the lake the Yellow-legged Gull again and four Common Terns. (Nick Goatman).
