Frampton     The Sailing Lake and Court Lake nearly iced over. Birds included a Goldeneye, two Pochards, 96 Gadwalls, 48 Mallards, six Shovelers, 48 Tufted Ducks, 33 Teal, four Wigeon, seven Great Crested Grebes, a Little Grebe, 36 Greylags, four Canada Geese, a Chiffchaff, 11 Common Gulls, a Herring Gull and 74 Black-headed Gulls. Tewkesbury     Two Peregrines displaying in the sun around the Abbey Tower today.  Between the Red Lion at Wainlode and Coombe Hill Meadows, five Little Egrets and a Great White Egret on the frozen wet fields. (Les Ditchburn).

Coombe Hill Meadows     The Grundon hide is now accessible from the towpath, though it is very muddy and icy, and care is needed. Birds today included 20 Canada Geese, 2000 Wigeon, 3500 Teal, 15 Gadwalls, 40+ Mallards, 946+ Pintails, 219+ Shovelers, 25 Tufted Ducks, a Snipe, a JACK SNIPE, 30 Herring Gulls, 75 Black-headed Gulls and a Reed Bunting. Ashleworth Ham     Still heavily flooded and can only be observed from road. Birds included 100+ Canada Geese, four Shelducks, 50+ Wigeon, 200+ Teal, 40 Mallards and 20+ Pintail. (Mike Smart).
