Saul Warth     At 6am no tide, the foreshore like a desert, 45 Avocets, 60 Curlews, five Oystercatchers, 30 Shelducks, a Little Egret, three Grey Herons, two Kestrels, two Skylarks, two Grey Wagtails, a Pied Wagtail, seven Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, 21 Swallows and ten Long-tailed Tits. Also a Stoat. (MK).

WWT Slimbridge     A summer plumaged Spotted Redshank on South Lake. Two Cattle Egrets and six Little Egrets on the Tack Piece. Also at least three Red-veined Darters on South Lake from Discovery hide. (Heather England/Terry Stevenson/Paul Masters).

Frampton     A Hobby over the church early this morning. A Grasshopper Warbler still reeling from Splatt Bridge and a Common Tern over the canal. (Steve Pullen).
