WWT Slimbridge    On the Tack Piece a Little Ringed Plover, two Common Sandpiper, male and female Ruff, three Greenshanks, a Redshank, a drake GARGANEY and 25+ Black-tailed Godwits. On the Dumbles three Sanderlings, 15+ Ringed Plovers, 20+ Dunlins, three Whimbrels, 12 Bar-tailed Godwits, ten Curlews, three Common Cranes, two Water Rails, a Yellow Wagtail and many Swallows, House Martins and Sand Martins over NE. Cleeve Hill     Between 10am-11:30am two Whinchats and at least seven Wheatears around the dew pond and bathing, four male Stonechats, at least four singing Willow Warblers, 12 Yellowhammers, a Linnet nest building, a Whitethroat and a Redstart singing. (Tom Mabbett). Early evening in thick mist and heavy rain seven Whinchats and five Wheatears along the wall from the Masts car park. (Mark Dowie).

Dowdeswell Reservoir     This afternoon two Little Egrets, a pair of Great Crested Grebes, a Cormorant and a few Swallows and House Martins. (Tom Mabbett).

Rodborough Common     An OSPREY flew up from the Woodchester side of the hill and circled around the top of the Common and eventually flew out of line of sight towards the Slad valley at 3:30pm. (Lee Pegler).

Gotherington     A Grasshopper Warbler and possibly a second bird in the distance, reeling from a hedge between the new housing off Gotherington Lane and Nottingham Hill at dusk. (Steve Kear).

Stonehouse     A Common Sandpiper at the Ocean this morning SO797050. Also a Red Kite over Beards Mill. (Paul Sutton).

Bentham    At lunchtime a Red Kite, a Kestrel, three Whitethroats, five Blackcaps, three Swallows, a Little Grebe, a Grey Heron, three Willow Warblers and Chiffchaffs. (Sam Walker).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A Cattle Egret, a Common Sandpiper, two Avocets, six Oystercatchers, three Redshanks, two Ringed Plovers, three Little Ringed Plovers, eight Black-tailed Godwits, four Curlews and five singing Redstarts. Calcot     In the Calcot Farm/Manor area late morning a male PIED FLYCATCHER, c10 Fieldfares, a male Whinchat and a male Wheatear. (Rich Hearn).

Cotswold Water Park West     A GRASSHOPPER WARBLER reeling at Shorncote this morning at 7:45am. Also a Lesser Whitethroat near to the hide. (David Creber).

Witcombe Reservoirs     This morning the GRASSHOPPER WARBLER still reeling in a hedge in the western corner of the W reservoir at 7:11am. (Jeremy Holland).

Highnam Woods     From 9:30am-12 noon a minimum of three Nightingales with three seen, a GRASSHOPPER WARBLER reeling, a LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER, two Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Green Woodpecker on farmland, eight Blackcaps, a Willow Warbler, 14 Chiffchaffs, three Nuthatches and a Raven. (Chris & Vicky Harper). Park in one of the lay-bys and access via the pedestrian gate. Don’t park in gateways, block pavements, pedestrian access, or on private property. The car park open weekends and Bank Holidays 10am-4pm until September (6am-4pm in May). (Lewis Thomson).

Cleeve Hill     Two RING OUZELS seen from the Heather Enclosure, also two Whinchats, two Stonechat and eight Wheatears over towards West Down on the Cheltenham Bird Club Walk this morning (Arthur Ball). In Aggs quarry early this morning three Tree Pipits, two Willow Warblers, four Yellowhammers, two Bullfinches and a late Fieldfare. (Tom Mabbett).

Forest of Dean    A Wheatear and distant Cuckoo heard this morning at Crabtree Hill. (Frank Williams). A Pied Flycatcher, a Redstart and a small bat all from the lower hide at Nagshead, showing well. At Woorgreens, a pair of Crossbills, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Jay and at least 40 Lesser Redpolls, also a Tree Pipit heard . (Sarah Townsend).

Charlton Kings Common     A RING OUZEL and a Wheatear with 30+ Fieldfares on the ridge at Hartley Hill. On the Common three singing Tree Pipits, three Marsh Tits, three Treecreepers and good numbers of Willow Warblers, Chiffchaffs, Blackcaps, Yellowhammers, Linnets and Stock Doves. (Chris Furley).

Stinchcombe Hill     At least two Wheatears this morning. Also many Skylarks, 4+ Mistle Thrushes and a Pied Wagtail. (Mike Davis).

Elmore     At the Elmore Court Rewilding Project from the public footpath along Broadmeadow Bank Ditch a male Whinchat and a Wheatear this afternoon. (Mark Hobson).

Stroud     Two Common Sandpipers along the canal Bowbridge to Capel’s Mill, also two Grey Wagtails, and a Dipper on the river. (Paul Masters).

Frampton     A male Yellow Wagtail S of the Sailing Lake, a Red Kite flew S at 3:20pm and a pair of Mandarins flew N just after. (MK).

Edge     At Rudge Hill NNR at 1pm a visitor reported c20 Wheatears feeding in the central area.  Three seen when followed up in a short check. (Ian Elphick).

Lydney     Along Mead Lane towards Lydney New grounds a Mistle Thrush, a Song Thrush, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Reed Warbler and a singing Cetti’s Warbler. (Ant Dobbs).

Cheltenham     At Race Course Station a Skylark and a Raven both heard. (Howard Taylor). A Great Spotted Woodpecker on the Scots pine in the garden at Benhall this morning. (David Norman).
