Also ten Linnet, 12 Pied Wagtails, 15 Meadow Pipits and a flock of +100 Redwings feeding on the adjacent farmland with a handful of Fieldfare mixed in, a Buzzard over the A417 pursued by crows and a Kestrel over the Mound being mobbed by Magpies. Plusterwine    Between Plusterwine and Guscar Rocks at high tide this morning, 290 Wigeon, 240 Curlews, 50 Dunlins, 80 Redshanks, 12 Oystercatchers, 12 Shelducks, three Grey Herons, two Cormorants, seven Collared Doves, a Buzzard, a Kestrel, 40 Rooks, eight Redwings, 25 Meadow Pipits, eight Long-tailed Tits and 70 Starlings. Highnam Woods     This afternoon three Marsh Tits visiting the feeders with numerous Coal Tits, Blue Tits, Great Tits, a Chaffinch and a Nuthatch. Also in the woods two Goldcrests, nine Long-tailed Tits, seven Goldfinches, a Wren, another Nuthatch and a couple of Dunnocks. Heard only several Jays alarm-calling, a Raven, a Stock Dove and a Buzzard out past the W edge of the woods. At sunset a Kestrel was perched immediately across the A40 from the reserve entrance. Forest of Dean     Wigeon still present on the pond, difficult to ascertain numbers as some were flying in and out both ends of the pond. An odd Gadwall type drake with a female Mallard. (Chris Keeling).

Coberley     Four Red Kites circling this evening over fields E of Coberley church. (Rose Lennard).

Tresham area     Early morning a Little Owl, two Peregrines and two Corn Buntings. (Paul Rich).

Cheltenham     At 11am this morning two Little Egrets in Benhall brook c50 yards from the bridge, and two Great Spotted Woodpeckers chasing each other in the top of a tree in Benhall Avenue. (David Norman).

Winchcombe     At least six Red Kites circling over Sudeley Hill at dusk. (Gill & Andrew Worthington).

Warden Hill/Leckhampton     This morning three male Bullfinches, male and female Blackcap, a Green Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, Redwing, four tit species including Long-tailed and Coal, a Muntjac and two Foxes. (Eric Harris).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A Little Owl briefly, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Goldcrest, a Stonechat, two Blackcaps, a Cetti’s Warbler, three Chiffchaffs, two Stock Doves, a Buzzard, a Skylark and numerous Long-tailed Tits, Goldfinches, Fieldfares and Redwings. Fairly quiet on the scrapes from Grundon hide late morning with c80 Wigeon, c40 Lapwing, c20 Pintail, c6 Teal, c30 Greylags, c20 Canada Geese, a Shoveler, a Gadwall, a Tufted Duck and two Mute Swans. Halmore     A Sparrowhawk took a Collared Dove in the garden this morning. (Chris Newton).

Quedgeley     A Red Kite over Hardwicke Farm at 3:55pm, it headed through Quedgeley and eventually I lost it E over Rose Tree Farm. (MK).
