Coombe Hill Meadows     A Water Rail feeding beside the canal this afternoon, c20 metres from the car park. (Ged Cassell). In the morning 72 Teal, 17 Mallards, two Grey Herons, a Little Egret, a Buzzard, 22 Moorhens, two Snipe, a light south-westward Skylark passage, six Meadow Pipits, 1 or 2 Swallows, a Grey Wagtail, a few Chiffchaffs calling from the hedges, 40 Goldfinches and 2 or 3 Bullfinches. Tewkesbury     At Severn Ham an adult Mute Swan and seven cygnets on the Mill Avon and a few passing Swallows and Skylarks. (Mike Smart).

Leckhampton Hill     From the quarry car park 25 Golden Plovers flew over S then 20
minutes later the same or similar flock flying E. Also a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Buzzard, a Jay, a Stock Dove and a Chiffchaff. 30+ Golden Plovers and a Wheatear on a field just E of Hartley Farm. Also several Skylarks and a Jay heard. (Steve Brown).

Elkstone     N of Elkstone a Red Kite lifted off with a roadkill Pheasant, rapidly joined in the air by another six Red Kites, a Buzzard and two Ravens. (Steve Brown).

Stonehouse    This morning a Grey Wagtail at Bond’s Mill. Around the Ocean and fields below an adult Cormorant and two juveniles, a pale Buzzard, 41 Mallards, a Little Egret,
a Kingfisher, a Sparrowhawk, a small flock of Long-tailed Tits, a small flock of Goldfinches, seven Moorhens, five Coots and two Grey Herons. Also a Southern Hawker, five Common Darters and two Red Admirals. (Paul Sutton).

Coombe Hill Meadows      This evening 20 Greylags and 60 Canada Geese all came in at dusk, 98 Teal on the Long Pool, 30 Mallards, a Grey Heron, 28 Moorhens, seven Snipe feeding on the Long Pool, a Green Sandpiper, a Buzzard, a Tawny Owl calling, 25 Swallows, four Pied Wagtails, two Meadow Pipits, at least six Chiffchaffs calling and 80 Goldfinches. Forest of Dean     A LESSER SPOTTED WOODPECKER at Woorgreens this morning. Also two possibly three Kingfishers and a Green Sandpiper. (Owen Follis).

WWT Slimbridge    On the Top New Piece five Little Stints from the Zeiss hide. On the Rushy three Spotted Redshanks, an Avocet and two Greenshanks. On South Lake a juvenile Little Ringed Plover and a juvenile Spotted Redshank. On the Tack Piece a juvenile Little Ringed Plover, two Green Sandpipers, nine Ruffs and a Peregrine flew through. At Middle Point a Curlew Sandpiper went N this morning later another (or same bird) on the mud with a Greenshank, two Bar-tailed Godwit, c30 small waders mainly Ringed Plovers also a male Stonechat on the cross fence. Cheltenham    At 10am at Christ Church a Peregrine was calling loudly to warn off a Sparrowhawk which circling around just above the tower. A Corn Bunting and a Meadow Pipit on the top of Leckhampton hill. (David Norman).
