Frampton/Saul Warth    This morning totals of 133 Snipe, two Jack Snipe and 100 Golden Plover through S, a Greenshank still at Splatt Bridge flash. (Gordon Hodgson).

Forest of Dean    At Parkend this morning 26 Siskins and two male Bullfinches. (Dave Clarke).

Waterhatch     A Grey Wagtail, a Green Woodpecker calling and at least 20 Linnets on telephone wires and over the field. (Gill Worthington).

Chosen Hill    This morning on top of the hill and to the N side, birds seen included 4-5 Nuthatches, 30+ Redwings, a Chaffinch, six Goldfinches, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, two Buzzards and a Red Kite. (Steve Mockford).

Cherington     Around the lake mid afternoon birds included a Grey Heron, a Little Grebe, two Moorhens, 14 Mallards, two Mute Swans, two Goldcrests, a Green Woodpecker, a Song Thrush and three Buzzards. (John Fletcher).

Broadoak     The Whooper Swan again on the river, then flew to stubble fields on the Arlingham side of the Severn at 2:35pm. (Lewis Thomson).

Winchcombe     Two Lesser Redpolls on a niger feeder, the first this winter. (Tim Morgan).

Frampton/Saul Warth     At Splatt Bridge today a Goosander flew S, five Redshanks, two Stonechats and an immature Peregrine. A Greenshank still present yesterday, also a CATTLE EGRET and 40 Snipe at Saul Warth. (Gordon Hodgson).

Whittington     At the crossroads at the base of Cleeve Hill near Whittington at SO993226 two Red Kites and two Buzzards. At Puckham Woods at midday a covey of 12 Red-legged Partridges at SP008215. At Arle Grove near Whittington SO995215 birds included two Goldcrests, five Nuthatches, ten Chaffinches, 60+ Redwing, a Raven and three Buzzards. (Howard Smith).

Cobney Meadows     WeBS count today included five Canada Geese, a Shelduck, a Gadwall, 25 Wigeon and five Shovelers. Also two Meadow Pipits, 200 Starlings and 40 Fieldfares feeding on the grass. (Mike Smart).

Leigh Meadows     WeBS count today included 29 Mute Swans, a Wigeon, a Little Egret and three Snipe. Also a Buzzard, a Grey Wagtail and a Pied Wagtail. (Mike Smart).

WWT Slimbridge    The CACKLING GOOSE again today in the Goose House Ground but often out of view behind the hedges. Best chance is from the Estuary Tower when the flock moves. Five CATTLE EGRETS and four Little Egrets roosted in the Decoy overnight, the CATTLE EGRETS moved to the South Lake for 5 minutes at dawn and then flew E towards the canal. A Goshawk buzzed the Top New Piece late morning then flew SSE towards the canal and Purton. (Slimbridge Sightings/Roberta Goodall).

Bourton-on-the-Water     A redhead Goosander moving between the pits, currently on the large south pit. Also belated news of a Water Rail squealing throughout Friday morning from flooded scrub at GWT Greystones Farm. (Andy Lewis).

Frampton pools     496 Coots, 68 Tufted Ducks, six Great Crested Grebes, 18 Moorhens, 123 Gadwall, 118 Mute Swans, 29 Mallards, two Pochard, 47 Wigeon, 11 Shovelers, the adult Yellow-legged Gull, eight Bullfinches and two Blackcaps today. (Nick Goatman).

Leddington   A well-fed Sparrowhawk spent 2½ hours in an apple tree in a garden at SO688351 today. (Eden Tanner).

Broadoak     A Whooper Swan on the River Severn off of The White Hart again today. (Lewis Thomson).

Gloucester     An adult male and a juvenile Peregrine on Gloucester Cathedral again today on the E side of the Tower. A third Peregrine approached from the E but was seen off by the adult male. (Paul Clark).

Maisemore     From Church Road, along the lake to the weir and upper parting this afternoon birds included a Little Grebe, eight Moorhens, 12 Mallards, five Redwings, seven Fieldfares, a male Kestrel, two Buzzards and three Mute Swans. (John Fletcher).

Cheltenham     Around The Hewletts and Northfield Farm Circular today birds included five Bullfinches (5m, 2f), 16 Redwings, eight Fieldfares, a Meadow Pipit, 60 Starlings, three Ravens, a male Chaffinch, four Nuthatches and three Red-legged Partridges. (Howard Smith).
