Forest of Dean In Cadora Woods, NW of St Briavels a Hawfinch and a Pied Flycatcher. Also believed to be an OSPREY flying overhead which was confirmed a little later when it was seen flying between the western edge of the woods and the River Wye at Bigsweir. (Jeff Wheeler).

Frampton Two Common Terns on the sailing lake this morning. At Splatt Bridge a Whinchat, c25 Bar-tailed Godwits, a Common Sandpiper, a Kingfisher, a Peregrine, two Common Cranes, a Lesser Whitethroat, four Whitethroats, eight Swallows and six House Martins. (Tom Mabbett/Steve Pullen).

Coombe Hill Meadows Birds today included three Wigeon, three Little Egrets, two Grey Herons, four Oystercatchers, two Avocets, a Little Ringed Plover, six Lapwings, 4+ Redshanks, a Cuckoo, a Swallow, 3+ Redstarts, 5+ Sedge Warblers, 3+ Blackcaps, 6+ Whitethroats, 3+ Chiffchaffs, five Linnets and two Reed Buntings.
