WWT Slimbridge     Early morning a TURTLE DOVE with Feral Pigeons, Collared Doves and Stock Doves around 5-Acre farmyard, viewable from the Rushy and Peng hides, but no further sign later. Also the BITTERN flew towards Purton from the Knott hide reedbed, a Cuckoo in a dead tree behind the Knott reedbed, a Great White Egret flew over the Estuary Tower, a Little Grebe diving with a baby on it’s back on Knott pool and 21 Avocet chicks on the Rushy. Saul Warth     At 6am 75 Shelducks including three ducklings, a Grey Plover, three Ringed Plovers, five Oystercatchers, 14 Curlews, a SPOONBILL, a Little Egret, a Kestrel, six Swallows, three Whitethroats, a Lesser Whitethroat, a Reed Warbler and a Grey Wagtail. (MK).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This morning two Curlews, two Oystercatchers, three Lapwings, a Redshank, six male Reed Buntings, 6+ Sedge Warblers, 6+ Whitethroats, three Chiffchaffs, eight Swallows, a Cuckoo, 8+ Long-tailed Tits, four Yellow Wagtails, 6+ Skylarks, 10+ Ruddy Darters, 10+ Common Darters and a Banded Demoiselle. Late evening 20+ Mallards, five Gadwalls, a drake Shoveler, a drake Pintail, two Mute Swan, two Oystercatchers and 2+ chicks. two Redshanks, two Little Ringed Plovers, a Little Egret, two Lapwings, two Black-headed Gulls, two Coots, a Curlew, two Egyptian Geese, a Whitethroat, a Sedge Warbler, a Reed Bunting, three Lesser Black-Backed Gulls and many singing Song Thrushes. Frampton     At the sailing lake early this morning, a Garden Warbler singing from the lakeside willows and a Cuckoo flew over the lake heading towards the river. (Steve Pullen).
