The CASPIAN TERN flew N along the canal towards Shepherds Patch and over the campsite at 7:05am, then again towards Frampton at 7:35am, then at Splatt Bridge at 7:40am. (Andy Jordan/Gordon Hodgson). WWT Slimbridge     The CASPIAN TERN was elusive this morning and was seen on the canal between Slimbridge and Purton at 7:46am heading S (Dave Paynter). Then it was seen at Frampton heading N on the canal towards Epney. (John Rossetti). Then it flew over Frampton village (south end) heading SW towards Slimbridge. Alvington     An adult Mediterranean Gull with Black-headed Gulls and Herring Gulls feeding in a group over the house late this morning. (Paul Woolams).

Stonehouse     Along the canal from St Cyr’s church to just E of Bond’s Mill a Red Kite, a Raven, a Buzzard, a male Kingfisher briefly at the Ocean, a Swallow and ten Swifts. Also dragonflies included Broad-bodied Chaser, Emperor, Migrant Hawker, Brown Hawker, Beautiful Demoiselles and Ruddy Darter. Butterflies included Comma, Painted Lady and Small Skipper.
