Woodchester Park     This afternoon a singing male Redstart opposite the mansion. Also a Mandarin, 24 Tufted Ducks (17m, 7f), four Siskins, a Treecreeper, a pair of Ravens, a Tawny Owl hooting at 1:37pm and a pair of Muntjacs. (MK/Donna Cook).

Witcombe Reservoirs     Late morning 20+ Swallows and 20+ House Martins, just two Sand Martins, a Common Sandpiper and five Whitethroats. (Sam Walker).

Coombe Hill Meadows     This afternoon two Little Ringed Plovers, two Redshanks, two Yellow Wagtails, two Sedge Warblers, a Red Kite, a Whitethroat, a Raven, a White Wagtail and a juvenile Blackbird. (Colin Greenfield).

Bourton-on-the-Water     A Peregrine flew N from the Clapton area. Also a Cetti’s Warbler singing on private land near there. (Andy Lewis).

Frampton     A WHITE STORK flew low over Nebrow Hill Oakwood towards the 100-Acre at 8:30am. It was not relocated despite a thorough search. Also around the pools a female Brambling, a Siskin, a Common Sandpiper, a Marsh Harrier, a Willow Warbler, 34 Blackcaps, 28 Chiffchaffs, a Yellowhammer, nine Whitethroats, six Reed Warblers, a Sedge Warbler, three House Martins, two Swallows, ten Sand Martins and 16 Skylarks. Tewkesbury     A WHITE STORK flew over the army depot in Ashchurch at 4:30pm heading towards Bishops Cleeve. (Roger Cox).

Forest of Dean    At Crabtree Hill 6+ Tree Pipits, a Crossbill, a singing Lesser Redpoll, eight Willow Warblers and a male Redstart. (Dan Watson). Two male Redstarts and two Pied Flycatchers at the Lower hide at Nagshead today. Also a male Mandarin, a Coal Tit, a Mistle Thrush and a Song Thrush. (Terry Stevenson/Don Smith). Halmore     The first Whitethroats singing on territory this morning, at least four birds, and a Swallow. Also a Peregrine over Berkeley. (Chris Newton).

Ruscombe    At 5:15pm a WHITE STORK drifted up the Ruscombe Valley flying quite high towards Painswick, thought to have drifted in from the Severn. (Chris Tracey). Presumably a second bird as the bird over Gloucester yesterday and Cheltenham Racecourse this morning was in Worcester at lunchtime.

Cheltenham     A WHITE STORK over Cheltenham Racecourse this morning at 10:40am. Thermalling then dropping quite low being buzzed by a Red Kite, cruising towards Bishops Cleeve. (Tom Mabbett).

Purton     This morning 2nd calendar year LITTLE GULL and a 2nd calendar year Mediterranean Gull flew N up the canal, also a Whimbrel, two Siskins, three Jays and the first Sedge Warbler. (Francis Steuck).

Frampton    At Splatt Bridge the Grasshopper Warbler reeled early morning only. (Neil Smart). Quiet after that two Sand Martins, nine Swallows, a Common Sandpiper, a Blackcap, a Whitethroat, three Reed Warblers, a Cetti’s Warbler, two Chiffchaffs, two Kestrels, a Curlew, a Lapwing and a Raven. Cotswold Water Park West    At Shorncote reed beds an OTTER, five Red Kites, six Buzzards, two Little Egrets, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Cormorant, a Great Crested Grebe, a pair of Egyptian Geese, a Greylag, a Pied Wagtail, many Reed Buntings, a Blackcap, Chiffchaffs, a Reed Warbler, a Willow Warbler, a Grasshopper Warbler reeling, a Whitethroat, a Lesser Whitethroat calling and Sand Martins. Cleeve Hill     From the masts to the Washpool Valley at least five Red Kites, three Buzzards, a Raven, three Willow Warblers, three Stonechats, six Linnets, eight Yellowhammers, a Tree Pipit, Meadow Pipits, five singing Skylarks and three Swallows. (Chris Newton).

Gloucester    At least four Yellow Wagtails (2m, 2f) at Horsbere Brook Flood Storage Lake, flying to feed on remains of a dung heap below the farm buildings to the E. Also three Reed Buntings, a singing Whitethroat and a pair off Stock Doves. (Sam Walker/Mike Moxon).

Swindon Village to Elmstone Hardwicke     This morning three Swallows, a Red Kite, a Lesser Whitethroat, three Chiffchaffs, a Willow Warbler and four Blackcaps. (Rob Homan).

Berkeley      Three Red Kites and a Peregrine circling Old Brookend this evening. (Clare Glanville).

Quedgeley    A colony of Honey Bees in a tree hole nest in an orchard at the park in Woodvale, Kingsway. (Zoe Clark).
