Longney     This afternoon in the old orchards and along the Severn Way birds included 61 Linnets, five Meadow Pipits, two Skylarks, 13 Chiffchaffs, two Song Thrushes, two Chaffinches, two Green Woodpeckers, 116 Lesser Black-backed Gulls in a ploughed field, a Buzzard, nine Jackdaws and two Ravens. Minsterworth Ham     This afternoon three Curlews, a Green Sandpiper and five Linnets and in a grass field being ploughed up, several hundred Black-headed Gulls and at least 20 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. (Mike Smart).

Coombe Hill Meadows     A SIBERIAN CHIFFCHAFF along the S edge of the Long Pool withy bed 20m W of the flowering Willow bush foraging in the Reed Canary-grass along the edge of the drain. Also the Ruff still present, a Redwing and small passage of Fieldfares N mid morning. (Ian Ralphs).

Maisemore     26 Yellowhammers feeding in a newly turned field at Maisemore half a mile upstream from the weir. Also five Long-tailed Tits, a Mistle Thrush, a Song Thrush, a Green Woodpecker, three Red-legged Partridges, three Chiffchaffs, five Chaffinches, two Ravens, three Tufted Ducks, nine Mallards, two Coots, five Moorhens and two Mute Swans. Oldfields near Ludstock    This male Sparrowhawk spent most of this afternoon in the garden trying and failing to catch finches. Six Greenfinches and 18 Goldfinches on the birdfeeders. The garden is just in Gloucestershire. (Eden Tanner).
